PROJECT SUMMARY

 

AULA Education is a UK based ed tech company revolutionizing higher education with a transformed learning experience platform. Aula engaged an international design team to support faculty as they transition content using evidence-based high-impact educational practices.

ROLE: Freelance senior learning designer, faculty instructional support. Consultant to re-design of faculty-learning designer collaboration model.

 

AUDIENCE: Undergraduates, Graduate Students, Faculty

INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGY:  Using high-impact, HyFlex educational models, improved active, social and applied learning strategies to enhance student engagement, motivation and success. Revised and added new lesson plans (recommending best use of synch and async instructional time) for over forty individual, twelve-week academic courses (undergraduate and graduate level).  Revised existing and added new learning activities (deliberate practice, elaborative questions, concrete examples, stretch questions) and redesigned live sessions to ensure mastery of weekly content.

IMPACT: As a team we transformed over 1,000 courses in only three months and continue to re-design and coach faculty at a wide variety of institutions as Aula enters the American market. Redesign of collaborative model resulted in significant savings to Aula and improved faculty experience.
